HISTORY BEGINS IN 1991
Previously known as Cafe’ De Peacock or Peacock Restaurant, was located beside Dattatreya Temple, one of the historic places in Bhaktapur. The temple built in Pagoda style has three tiers and there are two huge stone statues of two popular wrestlers of time, Jaya Malla and Patta, at the temple steps. In front of the temple is a stone pillar on top of which a stone image of Garuda is placed in a kneeling position.HOTEL EMPIRE AND ROOFTOP RESTAURANT
We have been in the hospitality business since 1991, founded and maintained by Mr.Rajendra Shrestha. Also, Cafe’ De Peacock was featured in one of the most famous Nepali songs Resham by Nepathya (*historic Nepali band). We have been providing service throughout the decades through food and beverages. Now we have upgraded our hospitality service from the food and beverages service to accommodation as well. So, now we are HOTEL EMPIRE AND ROOFTOP RESTAURANT where we believe hospitality is simply an opportunity to show love & care and true hospitality is when people leave feeling better about themselves. We are located in heart of Bhaktapur, Nyatapola Temple which is a 5-storeyed (Nyata “ङाता” = 5 Storeys “तल्ला & Pola “पोलँ” = Roof “छाना”) Hindu temple.

Bhaktapur is one of the ancient historic place among three cities in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal just 13 k.m far from the capital city of Kathmandu. The name Bhaktapur means “City of Devotees“. Nyatapola Temple is a 5-storeyed (Nyata “ङाता” = 5 Storeys “तल्ला & Pola “पोलँ” = Roof “छाना”) Hindu temple. The temple’s name means Five Storeys Roofed Temple. Pagoda Style temple is located in Bhaktapur, Nepal. Towering at a height of over 30 meters, this turn-of-the-18th-century landmark is the tallest temple in Nepal. The imposing Nyatapola Temple stands five tiers tall over Taumadhi Square in the core city of Bhaktapur, where it was built with time-tested virtuosity at the behest of King Bhupatindra Malla in 1702.
